SeminarCheckmate Fire Systems and KTC held a seminar at the Regency Intercontinental Hotel to launch their combined range of Passive Fire Protection and Integrity Testing products and services. Their partneship gives customers in Bahrain a "One-Stop shop" for their fire protection requirements and the comfort that any work carried out will be approved and certified under the LPCB Passive Fire Protection Installer Scheme.

Gulf Convention Centre

SeminarKTC have been awarded the contract to replace the obsolete analogue addressable fire detection system in the Gulf Convention Centre with the latest system utilising Apollo Fire Detectors XP95 detectors and Vega control equipment manufactured by Kidde Fire Protection. The whole of the the GUlf Hotel is now served by a network of Vega panels with a centralised graphic annunciator.

Megger Training

SeminarMegger conducted a distributor training conference in the Gulf Hotel. topics covered included Earth Testing, Battery testing, Insulation Testing and Cable Fault Location. Distributors were given the opportunity to use the FRAX 101
Sweep Frequency Response Analyzer, IDAX 300 Insulation Diagnostic Analyzer and the Programma TM1800 Circuit Breaker Analyzer System .

District Cooling and Sewage Treatment Plant

Bahrain Bay DevelopmentBahrain Bay DevelopmentUnicorp International Contracting has awarded KTC the contract for the design supply and installation of fire protection systems for the District Cooling and Sewage Treatment Plant which forms part of the Bahrain Bay Development. The scope of work includes sprinkler systems by GW Sprinklers, FM200™ and CO2 gas extinguishing systems manufactured by Kidde Fire Protection, and an analogue addressable fire detection system utilising Apollo Fire Detectors.

Furse2Connect have awarded KTC the contract to design, supply and install lightning protection to their new server room in the Riffa Views Development. The system will be designed to comply with the requirements of BS EN 62305 and the components will be manufactured by Furse a world leading manufacture of earthing and lightning protection equipment.

Using the latest cameras and digital recording equipment from PELCO, the leading supplier of CCTV equipment from the U.S.A., the system was delivered and installed in a timely manner.

FM2002 Connect are to use an FM200™ extinguishing system manufactured by Kidde Fire Protection to protect their latest server room. KTC were selected to design, supply and install the system based upon their proven track record. A conventional smoke detection system will be complimented with a Hart High Sensitivity Smoke Detection System also manufactured by Kidde Fire Protection.

BRTC KTC have been awarded the contract to supply and install FM200™ gas extinguishing systems to protect Control Rooms and Tape Stores. FM200™ has been selected for its clean extinguishing properties and environmentally friendly nature. The systems will be manufactured by Kidde Fire Protection and systems design and hydraulic calculation will be carried out by KTC in Bahrain..

NovecMurugesan, Sathish and David Smith visited Denmark for training on the latest release of the windows based Novec™ hydraulic calculation software and the latest design manual. Kidde Fire Protection offers three different Novec™ 1230 fluid systems to suit a wide variety of applications. A standard 25 bar system for industrial applications, a specialist 25 bar marine system and a 42 bar system that offers increased design flexibility for larger or more complex facilities.

Car ParkKTC have been awarded the contract to supply an analogue addressable fire detection system utilising Apollo Fire Detectors XP95 detectors in the new multistorey Car Park under construction in the Bahrain Financial Harbour. This means KTC have responsibility for all the fire fighting and detection systems in the project.
